The Lake Hortonia Property Owners Association will hold its spring meeting on Sunday, May 26th @ 10:00 am at the Sudbury Town Hall. This meeting provides an opportunity to get milfoil management details, updates on lake happenings and to ask questions of board and committee members. This meeting is informational and no voting or official business occurs. It is also a time for members to share ideas and suggestions with the board.

About us

The mission of the Lake Hortonia Property Owners Association is to improve conditions on the Lake, including managing invasive species, promoting cleanliness, protecting wildlife, and enhancing recreational opportunities. We work with the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department to preserve the Lake’s value as a recreational resource while respecting property owners and the public.

Become a member

LHPOA membership is open to anyone who owns property on Lake Hortonia. We rely on your membership dues to pay for the upkeep of the lake, treatment of invasive species, water surveys, safety buoys, and more. Historically, the LHPOA has about 130 members. With 270+ properties on the lake, we continually strive to engage more residents in supporting the mission and goals so that all who benefit from our efforts contribute.

Managing invasive species like Eurasian Milfoil costs over $50,000/year! This creates a perpetual challenge to raise enough funds to sustain these ongoing efforts.
