Our Annual Meeting is this Saturday and your LHPOA board is looking forward to gathering with you and bring you up-to-speed on all things Lake Hortonia. We have a wonderful silent auction with artwork from your lake neighbors, several beautiful framed photos as raffle giveaways and a gift for each member. And, don’t forget, bring your favorite brunch pastry to share during the social/coffee time, 8:30-9:00.

Our Annual Meeting is your opportunity to meet lake neighbors, hear updates about long and short term strategies for managing invasive species, ask questions of your board members and committee leaders and vote for new board members. The 8:30 coffee and social time is a wonderful way to reconnect with neighbors and chat with board members. There will be one voting item on the agenda, the election of the 2024-25 Board of Trustees.
Muffin Potluck for the meeting??
Yup, we’re going to try it this year… in the past, Jane, Joyce and Sue have organized the Ladies Of The Lake to bring the goodies, but this year we’d like everyone to pitch in. Bring a plate of your favorite baked goods to share, we’ll provide the coffee. Jane will be there to organize the tempting table!
AUCTION, RAFFLE AND GIFTS
We are excited to announce special Annual Meeting gifts, prizes and auction items! First, for all up-do-date members, we will have a special gift for you when you arrive. We will also give away beautiful lake photos throughout the meeting. And, drum roll please, we have five unique silent auction items handcrafted by lake neighbors. Below are photos of the auction items that you can bid on at the meeting. All proceeds go into our budget for managing Eurasian Milfoil and, you have a unique piece of artwork for your home.

JOIN THE BOARD
LHPOA has a 9 member board and most years we need to fill 1-3 positions. This year, all five members whose terms have expired will run again; which is ideal to maintain continuity and consistency. However, any member may run for one of those five positions. If you would like to serve on the board and run in an election with the 5 board members who are up for reelection, email: murray@murraybanks.com and we will send you a self-nomination form.
The election will occur at the Annual Meeting, August 24.
